EXECUTIVE BOARDS

  The Canadian Off-Reserve Indian Nations, Inc. is composed of the following structure :

Local Chiefs

     The local chief is elected to represent the various towns, villages or cities with a membership of over registered 40 people, and has the power to vote in any/ all matters concerning his/ her own jurisdiction during the county general meetings.

     Each Local Chief is elected by his/ her own membership for a term of 3-years and is under direction and control of the county Chief where his/ her membership reside.
 

County Chiefs

   The county chief is appointed by the Provincial Chief for a term of 3-years . He/ She is under the direct control of the Provincial Chief who dictates the mandate approved by the National Council of Grand Chiefs.

Provincial/ Territorial Grand Chief

   The Provincial/ Territorial Grand Chief is appointed by the National Council Of Grand Chiefs which is made-up of the Provincial/ Territorial Grand Chiefs subject to approval by the Executive Council.

  The term of office for a Provincial/ Territorial Grand Chief is 5-years.

   National Council of Grand Chiefs
 
  The National Council Of Grand Chiefs is made-up of all the Provincial/ Territorial Grand Chiefs and is overseen by the Executive Council .

 Executive Council

  The Executive Council is made up of the President, Vice President and Board Of Directors who oversee the everyday workings of the corporation .

The Executive Board Of Directors

  The Executive Board Of Directors will consist of 5 members from various Provinces/ Territories who will serve a 5-year term . Their role will be to assist in the implementation of the corporation activities under the charter .

The Vice President

  The vice President will be appointed by the Executive Board Of directors for a specified term to assist the President in his/ her duties.

The President

  The President shall be appointed for a specific term by the Executive Board Of Directors to act as the official spokesperson for the corporation. He/ She will cast the deciding vote on all unresolved issues and act as a mediator on issues concerning the charter and it's implementation.
 

The Council Of Elders
  A special council of elders will be created at each level of government to act as advisors and mediators for the regional, territorial and grand chiefs concerning matters under the charter .

  The council of Elders will select a chief for each province as well as a national chief who will be part of the council of grand chiefs and the executive council .

The Council Of Women
 A special Council Of Women will be created to oversee all aspects of the corporation in regards to women's issues and they will be involved in the selection of the various chiefs .
